After reading 1. "Handout: Overview of Contracts," and 2. "Handout: Contract Terms and Sample Contract" (attached in this week's learning activities, above), students must use the facts presented in the "Handout: Contract Drafting Exercise" (also attached in this week's learning activities, above), combined with the knowledge learned about contracts, to write the Recitals portion of the contract. Student must then designate five (5) clauses that they deem essential for inclusion in the contract. After designating the five essential clauses, the student must discuss the importance of each clause in the context of the facts presented and the hypothetical agreement. This assignment requires objective, critical thinking and the ability to apply principles of contract law and drafting to facts in a given scenario. This assignment is a maximum of three (3) pages.
